The full-time (35 hours per week) HR and Payroll Assistant is responsible for performing activities relating to the payroll and human resource functions for the Diocese of Wilmington and related entities. FT Accountant, Diocesan Finance Office
The full-time (35 hours per week) Accountant is responsible for accounting and financial reporting for the Diocese of Wilmington and assigned entities, including funds, investments, inter-company transactions, and banking. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, and 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will possess: an aptitude for mathematics and be able to analyze, compare and interpret facts and figures quickly; intermediate knowledge of accounting procedures/systems/reports; and a strong knowledge of computers and applications such as basic accounting software and MS Office Suite. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines is required.

FT Tribunal Director
The full-time Tribunal Director is responsible for serving as the Instructional Judge for the approximately 60 First Instance formal marriage cases and occasional Second Instance cases adjudicated by the Diocese of Wilmington Tribunal each year.
Essential functions will include preparing the annual Signatura Report for submission to the Holy See; developing and overseeing a network of Tribunal Field Staff (Tribunal Aides and Auditors); recruiting, developing, training, evaluating, and coordinating field staff activity; and providing canonical catechesis opportunities for in-service canonical training and skill development.
The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing, of good reputation, living in accord with the Church’s moral teachings; hold a licentiate or doctorate in canon law; and possess a strong knowledge of matrimonial and procedural canon law.

PT Legacy Giving Coordinator, Diocesan Development Office
The part-time (20 hours per week) Legacy Giving Coordinator supports legacy and gift planning efforts to the parishes, ministries, and programs of the Diocese of Wilmington. Essential functions include but are not limited to: coordinating activities; working within the Crescendo planned giving program to coordinate communications, inquiries, facilitation of requests and outreach; maintaining bequest expectancy lists and donor files; coding and data entry; and preparation of letters and other correspondence. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a working knowledge of, or ability to learn, gift planning operations and fund raising best practices. Previous experience in a development office a plus.

PT Coordinator, Diocesan Office of Marriage and Family Life
The part-time (10-15 hours per week) Coordinator of the Office of Marriage and Family Life supports and strengthens the efforts of the Marriage and Family Life programs and ministries of the Diocese of Wilmington. Essential functions include (but are not limited to) coordinating the marriage prep program, marriage enrichments, and marriage support programs; communicating with content providers and developing and analyzing the effectiveness of family-related resources and programming for use by the Diocese. Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, able to witness to and regularly participates in the sacramental life of the community. A strong understanding of and commitment to Church teachings on marriage and family life, and the ability to educate and communicate Church teachings both positively and compassionately, are required. Strong computer skills and ability to effectively use virtual meeting software a must.

Parish Accountant at St. John the Baptist-Holy Angels Parish, Newark, Delaware
St. John the Baptist/Holy Angels, a large Catholic Parish in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a part-time accountant starting immediately. Qualified candidates must have a two year degree in accounting and two to three years accounting experience is a plus. A working knowledge of Sage Business Works is also a plus. Familiarity with non-profit accounting is helpful but not required.
The parish accountant will manage accounts payable, prepare reports, handle the banking, and process payroll for both the church and the school, and will work with the school and other parish staff on financial-related matters.
