Senior Program Manager, Basic Needs 

The Diocese of Wilmington/Catholic Charities is seeking a Full-time Senior Program Manager for the Basic Needs program. Reporting to the Director of Program Operations, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Basic Needs Program, one of Catholic Charities’ largest programs, which includes housing, food, and utility assistance, and other family stabilization services.   Required qualifications include but are not limited to the following: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Human Services or Social Service Administration plus 5 years’ experience which includes management and supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrated proficiency in supervising, managing and budgeting: demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and administer, with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Direct Service Support Specialist at Casa San Francisco, Milton, Delaware

The Diocese of Wilmington/Catholic Charities is seeking a fulltime Direct Service Support Specialist to provide support to the resident and their physical and mental wellbeing and help them with their transition to housing.  Casa San Francisco is a 24/7 facility and the Direct Service Support Specialist’s schedule may include days, evenings, overnights and weekends based on operational needs.  Current recruitment needs are a person who can work 12 hour weekend days and overnight.

Jesuit Community at St. Joseph’s University, Office of the Superior Loyola Center, Merion Station, PA

The Business and Finance Manager is responsible for the financial and business transactions pertaining to the Jesuit Community in Loyola Hall and, in part, the Jesuit Infirmary in Manresa Hall.  (These two entities comprise what is colloquially known as the Loyola Center.)  In some instances, the Business and Finance Manager may also be requested to assist individual Jesuits with personal financial matters, such as banking and income taxation. Employment parameters are 20-24 hours per week (hours and days flexible), twelve months a year, on site. Probationary status for the first six months.  A minimal commitment of at least five years thereafter is highly desirable.  Equal Opportunity employer.

Primary Duties

  • The successful applicant will be able to multi-task a variety of responsibilities, some weekly and some annually or occasionally. Among others, these include banking, processing accounts payable, budgeting, sustaining insurance coverage, overseeing employee salaries, benefits and retirement plans, monitoring service contracts, and maintaining effective inter-office communications within the Jesuit health care and finance networks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three years of progressive, managerial experience, including accounting, finance, operations, business affairs and human resources.
  • Proven experience and outstanding customer service in dealing with vendors, visitors, residents, VIPs, government agencies and other parties and entities are also high priorities in hiring.
  • Other desired qualifications include superior communication skills and an ability to maintain good, working relationships with professional colleagues and business contacts via email and telephone.
  • An appreciation for due diligence, discretion and confidentiality are essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products and various computer finance programs is a must.
  • Solid experience with financial statements and internal/external auditors required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, administrative science or a related field.
  • Some familiarity with Roman Catholic Church structures and with the dynamics of religious life (e.g. the Society of Jesus a.k.a. “The Jesuits”).
