Credit Card Payment Options – Payments can be automatically charged to your MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit card. To initiate, complete the authorization section on your pledge form for an automatic deduction or contact the diocesan Development Office at (302) 573-3120 or [email protected] for assistance.

PayPal Credit Card Option – You may use your current PayPal account or create one to make payments. Log onto PayPal here by clicking

Gifts of Securities – If you own securities that have appreciated in value, they can be given to the Appeal and their full market value becomes a tax deductible gift. Contact the diocesan Development Office at 302-573-3120 or [email protected] for more detail.

NOTE: Instructions may vary by transaction type, i.e. mutual fund, shares held in an investment fund or registered with Computershare Investor Services.  Be sure to contact the Development Office to ensure proper transfer of funds and appropriate credit to you as the donor.

IRA Contribution – If you are 70½ years old or older, you may want to consider providing your gift through your IRA. By doing so, you pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions. And if you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the year, your IRA charitable rollover gift can satisfy all or part of that requirement.

For more information about an IRA Charitable Rollover or other charitable giving opportunities, go to the Diocese of Wilmington website at or consult your professional tax advisor.

Matching Gifts – Many companies provide a Matching Gift Program for their current and retired employees to promote charitable giving. Please contact your company’s Human Resource Department to determine if a matching gift program is available.
