September 10, 2018 — (Dagsboro, DE) — The Most Rev. W. Francis Malooly, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, will preside at the 16th annual Mass of Remembrance at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery located at 32112 Vines Creek Road in Dagsboro, Delaware, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. All those who were laid to rest in the cemetery over the previous year, will be especially remembered at the Mass. Seating and protection from the weather will be provided.
Established in 2003 to serve southern Delaware and the nearby counties of Maryland, Gate of Heaven is professionally managed by Catholic Cemeteries, Inc. In a spirit of ecumenism, all Christian denominations may elect to arrange for burial at the cemetery.
Catholic Cemeteries, Inc., a non-profit corporation, was founded as the New Cathedral Cemetery Company in 1881 and changed its corporate charter and name to Catholic Cemeteries, Inc. in 1955. The company owns and operates Gate of Heaven, All Saints Cemetery on Kirkwood Highway between Wilmington and Newark, Delaware and Cathedral Cemetery on Lancaster Avenue in Wilmington.
