BOARD of CATHOLIC SCHOOLS
The Board of Catholic Schools is an advisory group that provides advice and support to the Bishop and the Superintendent on matters pertaining to Catholic School Education. The Board meets at least five times a year.
The mission of the Board of Catholic Schools is to promote the educational ministry of the Diocese as articulated by the Bishop and advise and assist the Bishop with related policy issues. The board will conduct its business in the spirit of collaboration with and service to the pastors, school administrators, teachers and parents for the benefit of the children.
In the last three years, the Board has taken particular interest and leadership in the process of strategic planning for schools. They have participated in regular meeting with pastors and principals, have visited parish pastoral councils and school strategic planning committee meetings to bring focus to local financial planning and good communications relating to school sustainability issues.
