“Natural Family Planning: It’s Worth It. Join the Revolution!” is the theme of this year’s Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness Week, a national educational campaign of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to celebrate God’s design for married love and the gift of life. It is also to raise awareness of Natural Family Planning methods. NFP is the general title for the scientific, natural and moral methods of family planning that can help married couples either achieve or postpone pregnancy. The dates of the NFP Awareness Week (July 20-26) highlight the anniversary of the papal encyclical Humanae Vitae (July 25) which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love and responsible parenthood. By respecting the love-giving and life-giving natures of marriage, NFP can enrich the bond between husband and wife. The NFP autumn classes will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland in Newark, DE. The class dates are September 6, October 4 and November 1 at 1:00 pm. The method taught, Sympto-Thermal is safe and highly effective. The NFP classes are taught by trained and certified members from the Couple to Couple League. To register and/or obtain more information visit the Couple to Couple website at www.ccli.org
