You Are Not Alone

• You Are Not Alone is a grief support group for widowed men and women.

• A death in the family... a spouse. "His or her presence no longer graces my life. I have a story to tell... I have a sadness to share... How I hate to burden my sons and daughters... and my friends. Sometimes I sense that they don't want to listen... They seem to feel helpless... unable to make things right again... like somehow they've failed me. They haven't failed me but they can't make things right, either. Only I can make them right. I need the help of time and a non-judgmental, empathetic ear to sufficiently hear and understand. You Are Not Alone provides that ear. Each Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM, a number of widowed persons together with a facilitator gather at Catholic Charities (2601 W. Fourth Street Wilmington, DE, 19805) to share one another's stories, help one another express "deep feelings," support one another, and in the process become whole again.
