Crisis Services

The Catholic Charities Crisis Alleviation program exists to avert evictions and the loss of basic services by making financial grants for basic living expenses; through budget counseling to enhance financial stability, information and referral services; and case coordination and advocacy on behalf of the client.

Casework includes a thorough assessment of eligibility, correcting budget and spending priority problems, providing information about resources to help the client reach self-sufficiency, and making financial assistance grants to alleviate the presenting problem. We work with clients to develop a plan of action to prevent future crises from occurring. Case management services target families who need continued support.
