Part-Time Financial Manager, Catholic Cemeteries

The Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a Part-time, three days per week, Financial Manager for Catholic Cemeteries, Inc.  The Financial Manager manages and participates in the accounting and financial operations for Catholic Cemeteries, Inc. This role is responsible for maximizing the efficiency and reliability of all accounting and financial operations.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Process, monitor and control the overall financial transactions of the corporation, including accounts receivable, payables, payroll, and the related funds of Catholic Cemeteries, Incorporated.
  • Prepare and present quarterly financial statements, monthly financial reports, and annual financial statements including all necessary work papers for the annual audit.
  • Monitor the financial position of the General Fund, Operating Reserves and Endowed Care Fund, in addition to investments managed by the Diocese.
  • Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Business or Accounting and 3 years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Detail oriented with a strong aptitude for numbers.
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and data.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
