January 17, 2014 — (Wilmington, DE) —Catholic Charities, Inc. of the Diocese of Wilmington is pleased to announce that its Sussex County office will now be open two evenings a week. The office, located in Georgetown at 406 S Bedford Street, Ste 9, will now remain open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This change takes effect on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
“Demand for our services keeps growing, and many potential clients can’t be at our office during regular business hours,” said Richelle A. Vible, Executive Director. “We want to be able to effectively and efficiently serve those who need our help. Our extended hours give those who need assistance the opportunity to come to us when it is convenient for them.”
The Sussex County office provides many of Catholic Charities programs. The Basic Needs program provides emergency financial assistance as well as financial coaching and case management services to those at risk of homelessness. Behavioral Health Services provides outpatient counseling for those experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns, and also provides addiction recovery support. Clients can enroll in the Delaware Energy Assistance Program at the Sussex County office. The Child and Adult Care Food Program helps provide improved nutrition resources for licensed day care providers, including home-based programs and daycare centers. Clients may also receive information about and referrals to other internal or external programs as needed.
