“Blue Mass” to honor public safety personnel and U.S. Armed Forces slated for May 2nd.

A “Blue Mass” for those in law enforcement, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians, all who work in the area of public safety and members of the United States Armed Forces and their families, will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road in Wilmington.  Bishop Malooly will be celebrating the Mass along with Catholic chaplains from police, fire departments and the military throughout Delaware and Maryland’sEastern Shore.

Offered to thank God for the sacrifice and service to the communities given by public safety and military personnel at every level, the Blue Mass will be followed by a luncheon in the St. John the Beloved hall.  All law enforcement, fire, E.M.T. and military personnel, along with their family and friends are cordially invited to take part.  Although this will be a Catholic Mass, those of other faiths are warmly welcomed to attend.
